Al Jazeera English's Kuala Lumpur broadcast centre is the hub for coverage of events in the Asia-Pacific region, operating as the main broadcast centre as news coverage 'follows the sun' around the globe.
In addition to heading-up Kuala Lumpur Newshours, presenters also provide opt-outs throughout the day for Newshours anchored in Doha, London and Washington DC.
Presenters based in Kuala Lumpur also travel to locations around Asia-Pacific to anchor coverage of major news events across the region.

Divya Gopalan has over 10 years of experience in international journalism, including roles with the UK's BBC News 24 and BBC World and with US networks NBC and CNBC Europe. At the BBC she worked on the interview show HardTalk and on many major news stories such as the Iraq war, the Asian Tsunami and the terrorist bombings in Bali and in London. She also covered the 1997 Hong Kong handover for NBC and the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.
Laura Kyle joined Al Jazeera English at the station's outset. She has presented the news from the Kuala Lumpur broadcast centre during key breaking news moments, including the Myanmar crackdown, Malaysia's democracy demonstrations, and the rioting in Tibet.
She has reported and fronted the bulletin from Bangkok during Cyclone Nargis and the downfall of the Thai government.
Her stories range from China's first-ever spacewalk, to the child victim of an acid attack in Bangladesh, to the poor who slip through Singapore's welfare net, and the devastating illegal trade in Asia's exotic wildlife.
Laura came to Al Jazeera English from Beijing where she worked with CCTV-9 and China Daily for three years. She was one of the first foreign faces on CCTV-9 and presented their flagship bulletin Newshour.

Teymoor Nabili joined Al Jazeera English from CNBC Asia in Singapore where he had been anchor since 2001. Previous roles include news anchor for BBC Television in London, and anchor for European Business News. He was named winner of the Best News Presenter/Anchor award at the Asian TV Awards in 2005. Teymoor has also received awards from the British Royal Television Society for his coverage of the Utah Olympics bribery scandal, and from the New York Awards for reporting on economic development in Malaysia. Reporting highlights include covering the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on New York City for Channel 4 News and the Asian tsunami from Sri Lanka for CNBC.

Named Best News Anchor at the Asian Television Awards 2004, Veronica Pedrosa brought 15 years of international news experience to Al Jazeera English. She joined the channel from CNN International based first in Atlanta US and since early 2000 in Asia. Prior to that, she worked with BBC World Television and BBC World Service Radio in London presenting news bulletins and feature programmes, including The Week and Asia Today.
