Al Jazeera English's main company headquarters are based in Doha, Qatar, on the Arabian peninsula.
The Doha broadcast centre is the hub for coverage of events in the Middle East, Africa and sub-continental Asia, operating as the main broadcast centre as news coverage 'follows the sun' around the globe. In addition to heading-up Doha Newshours, presenters also provide opt-outs throughout the day for Newshours anchored in London, Washington DC and Kuala Lumpur.
Presenters based in Doha also travel to locations across Africa the Middle East and sub-continental Asia to anchor coverage of major news events across these regions.

Jane Dutton is a presenter with extensive experience of international television news.
Jane previously worked as presenter/reporter on The Business of Development - a special series of 30-minute programmes that aired on CNBC Europe/US and as a freelance presenter for BBC World.
Prior to these roles Jane worked for CNN as a presenter for their Morning International TV News, anchoring the network’s four half-hour morning shows, which attracted viewers from around the world. She has also presented CNN's travel show HotSpots from a different country every week, with an estimated 250 million viewers reached per show. Jane has also worked as a news correspondent for SABC, based in London, presenting news and drive-time shows for radio.

| David Foster |
David Foster is one of Britain's most experienced broadcast journalists who has covered stories and presented programmes in more than 50 countries since starting out as a reporter in 1972.
He has worked in newspaper, radio and television and, since joining Al Jazeera English, has been sent to Afghanistan, Lebanon, Gaza, Israel, India, Mauritania, Western Sahara and the United States. In February of 2008, he presented a seven-hour special from the US on the race for the Democratic and Republican presidential candidate nominations.
David came to Al Jazeera English from Sky News, the UK-based satellite news broadcaster. For almost 10 years there he was a studio news anchor and business correspondent. As senior correspondent for Britain's first commercial television breakfast news show (TV-am's Good Morning Britain), David had spells in Beirut reporting on the Lebanese civil war and was in Libya in 1986 when American warplanes bombed Tripoli. In 1988, he was posted to Washington DC, where he spent 5 years as US correspondent for TV-am, filing stories from 45 out of the 50 American states, as well as Central and South America, Canada and the Caribbean.

Imran Garda has been at the Doha presenting desk during key moments in Al Jazeera English history, including the execution of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, the university riots in Beirut and Israeli airstrikes on Gaza. He was also the journalist who announced the moment Kosovo had declared independence. In addition to news presenting, he is a regular presenter on the daily current affairs show Inside Story.
In 2007, Imran presented and co-produced The Father of The Turks a half-hour documentary on the personality and legacy of the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. He has also reported from India, on the 60th anniversary of India's independence from Britain, and partition into what is today India and Pakistan.
Imran joined Al Jazeera English from South Africa's Supersport, where he specialised as a cricket and football presenter for four years. He regularly hosted programmes covering the English Premiership and Spanish football; all the major Test Cricket series and, in athletics, the IAAF Grand Prix and Golden League.

| Shiulie Ghosh |
Shiulie Ghosh joined Al Jazeera English from ITV News where she was a correspondent and a presenter covering major events around the world.
Her reporting from Thailand on the Asian tsunami was awarded the 2006 Alfred I. Dupont Columbia News Broadcasting Award and, in 2001, Shiulie was named Best Television News Journalist at the British Telecom Ethnic Multicultural Media Awards.
During the conflict in Kosovo, Shiulie was based in southern Italy, from where she reported on the bombing missions flown by Nato crews. Post-conflict, she reported on the continuing tensions in the divided town of Mitrovica. Shiulie first joined ITV News as a general reporter in January 1998 and later spent three years as home affairs editor of ITV News.
At Al Jazeera English, Shiulie has anchored bulletings and rolling-news-coverage during many high-profile international events, including the execution of Saddam Hussein, the resignation of President Musharraf of Pakistan, the Russia-Georgia War, and the pro-democracy uprising in Myanmar.
Shiulie has also hosted Everywoman, a popular magazine show on Al Jazeera English, which was given the Editor's Award in 2007 by the Association of International Broadcasting in London.

| Darren Jordon |
Darren Jordon joined Al Jazeera English from the BBC, where he regularly presented the One O'Clock news and weekend news bulletins on BBC1. He often presented the flagship Ten O'Clock news programme as well. Darren was one of the BBC's most experienced newsreaders, and also presented on Breakfast, BBC World and News 24, the BBC's 24-hour continuous news channel.
Prior to his appointment to Breakfast news in 2001, he was the special reporter for the One O'Clock News. Darren's career in journalism began as a sports broadcaster in South Africa in 1995. Darren joined BBC Sport as a broadcast journalist in 1998, as part of the BBC News 24 sport team.
In addition to news, Darren has presented and reported for many other BBC programmes, including the BBC's D-Day anniversary coverage, the Lord Mayor's Show and the current affairs programme 4x4. Darren has also presented location reports for the BBC's Holiday programme, and has reported from Jamaica, Turkey, Cyprus, the USA and Dubai.

Maryam Nemazee has covered major stories in world news as a reporter and presenter. Previously she was a news anchor for the 24-hour, international English-language news channel, Russia Today, broadcasting across the world.
As one of the channel’s main anchors Maryam covered high-profile stories such as the Iranian nuclear dispute, the War in Iraq, and the on-going Middle East conflict. In this role she developed a strong base of knowledge and understanding of world news, and particularly of key issues in the Middle East.
Maryam has carried out live anchoring on world events such as the inauguration of Bolivia’s first indigenous President (the ascendancy of the left across Latin America), and the hospitalisation of former Israeli Premier Ariel Sharon.

A fluent speaker of five South Asian languages, award-winning journalist
Sohail (So) Rahman has been presenting and reporting television news for 17 years for some of the world's top news broadcasters, including Granada, ITV, BBC, Channel 4 and CNN.
In addition to being one of Al Jazeera English's main presenters, Sohail is also the South Asia correspondent. He is one of a few international correspondents who has access to and has reported from the troubled tribal areas of North West Pakistan, having reported exclusively on the militants in Swat and in areas bordering Afghanistan. He has also broken many of the top news stories in Bangladesh, India and Pakistan in 2007 and 2008, including Bangladesh's state of emergency and the cancellation of parliamentary elections, the removal of Pakistan's chief justice and the siege of the Red Mosque in Islamabad.
Sohail was the only international news anchor and correspondent present in Pakistan during the assassination and aftermath of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in December 2007. He broadcast live continuously on Al Jazeera English for the first 24 hours as the country plunged into civil chaos with riots breaking out as a result of her murder. His live reports were carried on television and radio by news partners in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining Al Jazeera English, Sohail made his mark as a reporter with international expertise in South Asia and the Middle East during the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks in the US. He was the first ITV reporter to record reaction inside Pakistan and throughout the region.
Sohail was the first British Muslim man in the UK to present the ITV national news and the ITV Granada regional news. Kamahl Santamaria has over 10 years experience in television news throughout the Asia-Pacific region, and now the Middle East. Since joining Al Jazeera English he has anchored numerous major breaking news events including the execution of Saddam Hussein, the US campus shooting at Virginia Tech, the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, Israel and Hezbollah's prisoner swap, and the bombing of Islamabad's Marriott Hotel. He also fronted the channel's exclusive coverage from Harare of the 2008 Zimbabwean elections - the only international broadcaster to be allowed into the country - and returned to neighbouring South Africa when Zimbabwe's historic power-sharing deal was signed.
Kamahl started his career as a news and sports reporter in his native New Zealand, working on TV3's flagship nightly news show 3 News. He was also a regular sports bulletin producer. Kamahl then moved to Australia, where he established and ran the Melbourne bureau for Sky News Australia – appearing on the channel's daily Sky Business Report as a business correspondent and presenter.
Sami anchored the weekly news show Business Arabia broadcast on CNBC Europe, CNBC Asia and CNBC World as well as the daily stock market show Kalam Al Souq. He has also anchored the morning show Al Sabah Al Arabi in Arabic for CNBC Arabia.
Prior to that, Sami was a writer-anchor at CNN International in Atlanta for their World News and World Report. He also presented the political debate show Frontline, as well as the live political phone-in show Open to Question, and regular news bulletins.
Sami was a finalist for CNN Economic Reporter of the Year, 2000 and recipient of the 1999 Kamal Adham Award for Television Excellence. In 1995, he was awarded the Television Union's Report of the Year award.
